Interns complete a 52 week educational program. Working hours are generally 7 am to 7 pm, with a minimum of 1 month of house night coverage during the first year. The program director determines the schedule for night coverage. Interns work weekends as scheduled by the program director. Interns receive a total of 20 days of paid time off which can be used for vacation, residency interviews, and holidays. Interns are also allowed a total of 5 days of paid time for conference attendance and other educational needs.
